I shall be visiting Paris for a few days for the first time. And I am particularly interested in visiting some of the many markets. Where can I find a guide to allow me to visit as many as possible by foot/Metro?

  1. If you mean the street markets, there is at least one in each of the arrondissements and they are open on different days of the weeks and at differrent hours.

Here is a list of such markets, their hours and the nearest metro stop: http://www.v1.paris.fr/en/living/markets...

  2. All is nice to see in Paris, and very opposite quarters, you need more than 1 week to see all cause it's a realy sweet city.

I can't say you all the places you need to visit in Paris, i'd be so long lol

  3. just walk down the side of the river seine all the information you require is there, and more

  4. Hi,

Do you mean flea markets or food markets ?

If you mean flea market, you can go to "les puces de Paris". You can take Metro and get off at  "Porte de Clignancourt" station (line 4). It's a huge flea markets and antique shops.

    More information here: http://www.paris-city-guide.com/paris-sh...

They are a lot of guided tour of flea markets.

If you're interested in fresh food markets, you'll find a lot in Paris! My favorite one is Bastille Market, Metro Bastille, on thursday and sunday from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The small Marché des enfants rouge is an historic place. Metro "Filles du calvaire" From tuesday to saturday from 8.30am to 1pm and from 4pm to 7.30pm (until 8pm on friday and saturday) ; on sunday from 8.30 till 2pm.

No need a guided tour if you just want to look, to eat, and to take pictures.

  5. Just do it the way I did it, mate - go to the nearest Metro and get off wherever you feel like - you're bound to find yourself somewhere interesting. Or take a walk on the banks of the Seine every day for a week - that can be really lovely and you are guaranteed to run into some of the sights, such as Notre Dame, as well....

    Have fun!
