Wallabies coach Robbie Deans cautions his squad to be careful of Springboks - Rugby
The head coach of Australia, Robbie Deans, has informed his side to be careful about the limping Boks in their up coming clash of the Tri-Nations Cup. The Wallabies will face the Springboks in their third match of the ongoing event on August 13 in Durban.
Wallabies coach cautioned his side that rusty play on their part can result in a defeat similar to the one against the All Blacks on August 6. Deans pledged that the underdogs Boks have the ability to bounce back into the tournament after two humiliating losses.
The coach argued that the Springboks have become a strong side with the return of seasoned players. Springboks have made 13 changes in their squad following to insulting spanking from the Wallabies and All Blacks in their opening matches of Tri-Nations Cup
2011.
Earlier, Springboks had a terrible run in the trilateral tournament because they left out 21 leading players in lieu to various injuries.
The Wallabies, who had tamed them comfortably by a monstrous difference of 39-20 on July 23, will now be required to put on a big effort to defeat the Boks according to their coach. Robbie Deans inspired his side to pay their maximum attention in the match
and clinch an important victory before RWC 2011.
Deans further said that, “This Springboks side that's gathered is one that has a lot of history. They understand the meaning of it, they understand the importance of it and this is their first outing (together for the year) and it's a very short stretch
before the World Cup, so they'll want to start well.”
The coach also said that, “Obviously the Boks are a totally different team profile from the one we encountered in Sydney and, as a result of that, the way they approach the game will be different. We understand that. We've got to do our best to defuse that
and then earn the right to play ourselves.”
The Wallabies will stand toe-to-toe with the Springboks on Saturday, August 13 in Durban.
