Walleye fisherman?

Question

do the zoom mini lizards work for walleye? i live right on a medium sized like thats about 60ft deep in CT. you probley never heard of it but its name is beach pond. im going out on monday with my uncle in his canoe. i kno that watermelon red usally works for bass, firetirger inline spinners work for trout and blue and silver castmasters work for 3inch walleye and salmon

For walleye I have had a lot of luck suspending a leech on a slip bobber about 2-3 feet off the bottom in about 20-30 feet of water. They will school along rocky submerged shoals and or rock beds. A good depth finder will help you to find these areas. I also like to use pink or orange mister twister jigs and pretty much jig them up and down in about the same depth of water and in the same areas. I have also been pretty succesful slow trolling a deep crank bait such as a rapala DT-12 even though it says that it will dive to 12 feet, it will actually go deeper as long as you pay out some line to allow it to get to 15 + feet depths.

Walleye happens to be one of my specialties. Use a worm harness and troll it, orange, yellow and red for murky, silver, blue, green, and gold for clear. While it's trolling, keep the bail off and the line on your finger. When you feel a bite, let the line go for 5 seconds, set the bail, and set the hook like your trying to rip its lips off! It sounds stupid, but I pulled a five pounder out of a lake once, and that's pathetic compared to what the other guys have pulled out. It works best in the morning and dusk in clear water, but afternoon in murky. Make sure your line is out about 60-70 feet so it is deep enough. Good luck!

i personally have no luck fishing for them but the best way is to look it up in a species finder. if ur going in day go early morning or late evening walleye hang in deep dark water. find out what they like and u will catch them. next time try earlier in the year though.
