Wallpaper disaster. please help

I am repainting my room and we started to peel off the wallpaper and underneath is supposed to be another layer of green wallpaper that we were going to paint over. in some spaces we also peeled off the green paper. we cant peel off all of the green paper. should we just spackle over the spaces where we messed up? some of them are rather big. help!

Yes, that will work to just spackle over the problem areas to make it as smooth as possible.  Be sure to prime it all.  It should be ok.  Best thing is to remove all the wallpaper, but sometimes that is just not doable.

that sounds like a good idea, make sure your make it as smooth as possible, sand it down  really well and use a wall paper paint and primer to cover the wall paper.

this wallpaper is thick enough to cover woodchip so you could put this on and paint over it
