And also would i have to put up a back splash behind my sink in front of the Wallpaper, because my vanity does not have one!

  1. I wouldnt wall paper the bathroom the paper may buckle and it would cost you more money to do it all over again.

  2. I strongly suggest you look at a thicker wallpaper.  In addition ensure your bathroom has proper ventilation as you may have to deal with molding concerns behind the paper.  Another option is paint which today has a wide range of textures and colors that will give you as wonderful an effect as wallpaper.  The change is also an easier transition as your taste change.

Back splash is always a great idea around wet areas.

  3. I always put up wallpaper in my bathroom and in my kitchen. The only time I would not do it in the bathroom is if there is poor ventilation. You don't need special wallpaper, but you must make sure your seams are sealed well. Over time my wallpaper loosened up above the tile in the bath area, but I just put some wallpaper paste from a tube and fixed it.  Do ask when you purchase your paper if it is well suited for a bathroom just to be safe.  I had a vanity that had no backsplash and had wallpaper in that area. It does get splashed a lot and you need to dry that area with a towel. I eventually put up some tile because the paper started to fade from the wet and dry situation.
