Walmart Employee Question?

Do you, or do you know someone who has a record of some kind that is currently working, or has worked at walmart? I know they do background checks. My boyfriend has a record. Theft and assault. But that was back 10 years ago. How do their background checks work? Do they go back as far as 10 years? Does he stand a chance to get a job there? He already has the Ok from 2 assistant managers and the head store manager.

I don't know if Walmart does background checks, but background checks in general seldom go past 7 years unless there is a good reason. I wouldn't think Walmart has any need to check back that far.

I think your boyfriend would be okay in getting that job.  My son in law started working for Walmart back in January.  He had an assault charge on his record from 2 years ago. He had to take anger management classes though, but it has worked out for him.
