Is it grounds for a lawsuit against walmart .For not hireing someone for not working the Sabath day?

  1. I don't think so,but if they hired you knowing you didn't work on the Sabbath due to your faith then  you could.

  3. Hey...the Chinese don't take any days off making that stuff...you shoudn't take any off either to sell it so they can make their money!

  4. No grounds. Your case will be thrown out by any reasonable judge. This is an old issue.

  5. No private company can be forced to observe any particular religion's Sabbath, or forced not to (hence, the Chick-Filet chain can close on Sunday, but WalMart doesn't have to).  At the same time, the government can't force a company to hire someone who won't work that company's regular business hours.

    Or, you can sue (if you can afford to hire an attorney, and can find one who would take this case), but you will lose.
