so i just got an email telling me i get a $1,000 walmart gift card (participation required) and i don't know whether to believe it or not. i do remember the website thing on a walmart reciept that i went to and took the survey and it told me i was entered in the sweepstakes and i did like 3 of them. i know they are also on chili's reciepts bc i did one from that too, but it was a while ago and i randomly got an email that had another link in it.

now this link wants my address and stuff.

should i give it? is it legit? does anyone know anything about this?

it's from internetrewardcenter.com which the email says is the third party involved... also "member services" so i'd like to get a second opinion before i start giving away any information

  1. No you should just try to exit out

  2. depends on the info they're asking for. it sounds safe and reasonable but check the rewardcenter website.

  3. Watch out, for they just might go behind your back and sue you until they get bad press and back down.

  4. i wouldnt do it.

yet again i dont trust anyone

  5. Call Walmart and ask for the store manager, they should know this information.

  6. It's a scam.  There's a million of those websites out there.  If you check your spam folder in your email you'll prolly also see a million of those offers in there.  They promise you a "free gift card" if you "just view the ads from their sponsors" and you find yourself clicking through a series of neverending pages where you have to answer to ads Yes/No over and over.  Then, when you finally get the end page where you think you might get the card, they ask you to complete like 2 offers - and if you click on them they're usually credit card offers or other junk where you have to pay to sign up.   It's annoying and ridiculous.

  7. It's a scam. It has nothing to do with WalMart. Don't give any personal info to unknown sites. It is dangerous.
