  1. who the heck cares?

its the only way i can AFFORD to go grocery shopping anymore.

im really sick of this whole "keep the small buisnesses in buisness"

im sorry if i cant find five dollars for a loaf of bread.

    jesus.

  2. "Always low prices, always."    LOL!

They do that so they can make money.  People want to save money so they go to Wal-Mart.  They want to make profits.

  3. http://walmartwatch.com/

    everything you need to know

  4. Because all of their produce is of low quality, they use pesticides and chemicals that make the groceries look and grow normally, but can be harmful to consumers if they are eaten continuously for a long time.

  5. They purchase such a mass quanity of items, they keep the prices low.

  6. The company is so large, that it makes a good purchase from companies at a much lower price than the average mega mart, then they roll over the savings to the consumer, along with s******g its employees over by paying them a slaves wage, and horrible benifits.

  7. Because it's such a huge company, it can lean on suppliers to give it special bulk rates and discount deals that aren't available to smaller chains and individual stores.  It's the same idea as if you belonged to a co-op or club store (Sam's, Costco), only it's a single company instead of a bunch of individuals.  That is, by buying in bulk, it saves on its wholesale costs and passes the savings on to you.

As far as its non-food products, it has dedicated (Wal-mart only) factories in China to manufacture electronics, clothing, housewares, etc.  Those are so cheap because Wal-mart has made deals with the Chinese government to manufacture its products in bulk at a cut rate in that country.

  8. The true prices you pay are hidden, because of the huge subsidies Walmart receives.  Here's how they do it.

Instead of paying employees a decent wage and providing the employees with health care insurance; Walmart pays minimal wages and teachs their employees how to apply for welfare, food stamps, and every other possible government program. That way we the taxpayers get to help pay Walmart's employees enough to live on.

For health care, the Walmart employees, since they earn so little in wages, can  go to the hospital emergency room and get treatment for urgent  problems at no cost to them. The hospital passes the costs on to the rest of us instead. Of course this is the most inefficient and most expensive manner of providing health care, but it doesn't matter to Walmart, because they don't pay for it. The rest of us do.
