  1. well, it's still under the "toys" section...

  2. They also have $1600 TV's and Rings. Who cares?

  3. 1. sold on-line, not in stores.

manufactures warranty void, if not assembled by a certified tech.

no tune up after break-in miles

have to guess on frame size as to fit of bike

    2. weight of the bike.

shipping weight for the carbon fiber corsa is almost 26.5 lbs (the same weight is given for the aluminum rides as well). assuming about 3-4 lbs for packaging materials, you're getting a bike that still weighs more than 20 lbs.

    3. the posted review noted quality issues right out of the box (torn bar tape, weak threads on seat post s***w). whilst wallywood should replace the bar tape and s***w. my guess is, that guy ended up at his LBS spending money he needn't have.

    4. with as competetive as the bike industry is, LBS bikes will still be several years ahead of wallywood in terms of frame design: geometry, alloy selection, carbon composition, etc. anybody can throw 105's on a bike and justify a $900+ price tag, you'll pay near that for the groupo.

    5. wallywood doesn't sell pedals or shoes. note that none of these bikes come with pedals or shoes. also, wallywood doesn't sell tube or tires for these bikes. they don't sell chains for these bikes. back to the LBS or another website. btw, what does any serious cyclist replace at least once a year? chains tubes and tires.

    6. there's NO negotiating on price! no add-ons like helmets and gloves, or a shop jersey. no trading in your old ride. many shops will do these things. my LBS wants to become an S-Works dealer, I'm dickering with the owner already, because he needs confirmed orders so he can commit (so far I'm down $300 from retail on frame/fork only)! I can't do that at wallywood, can I?

in summary, despite the nice components, my guess is these bikes are destined for the same fate as any other wallywood specials..

    ..the land fill..

  4. While the quality is much better than you would expect from Wal-Mart, would you want to deal with them for service? I'm sticking with my local bike shop.

  5. That is a fair price, but please consider buying a bike from a real bike shop. Thats all we need is to have Wal mart driving out the small bike shops . Besides, a bike shop will have knowledgeable staff that will be able to put you in the proper bike, regarding size, weight, price and skill level. and they will probably throw in a free tune up.

  6. Good price for a Corsa bike.

  7. That's crazy! If I were to spend that much money on a bike I'd rather get it from a place that is reputable when it concerns bikes.

  8. Whats the price with the rollback?

  9. Looks like a solid build.

    Corsa, who makes these?

Site eludes to the bikes being built in Italy. This true?
