Ok i asked yesterday if walmart subs are any good let me be more Specefic, Ok between the Sony Explode 12 or the Pioneer 12. and like i sead Im gonna Bridge my amp all Perallel, So i get even power to all of them and have a 2 OHM load on my amp. So like i sead there all gonna get equal power No matter what. So between Pioneer or Sony which one is better i know Pioneer 12s are 800 peak and 150RMS and the sony is 1300 Peak and 380 RMS But Freq Responces the Xplode is 18 - 2000 Hz and the Pioneer is 20 - 4000 Hz. and the sensetivity on the Pioneer is 91 dB (1 watt at 1 meter)

and the explode is 89 dB/W/m It sounds like the Pioneer is better but i want to hear from other ppl, thanks.

  1. In my opinion Sony is a very cheap brand. I have heard of good things, but never seen a good Sony setup for the price. I lie the Pioneer brand, but never been into the subs. Out of the 2 definitely take the Pioneer, I think you'll be more happy. Although, the RMS is low, you could push more, maybe not buying from Walmart? Maybe Ebay? I spend $1000 for a $3000 setup buy shopping Ebay and looking for the deals.

  2. People really don't buy subs from Wal-Mart,do they??I thought they were there just to turn up at full volume and walk away from them to aggravate employee's

  3. Dont buy a sub at walmart are you crazy! Go to best buy or somewhere you want quality unless you want to be replacing it soon. Just a thought or look on ebay if you find something you like at best buy 20 bucks says you can find it for next to nothing on ebay

    avid ebay lover

  4. out of the two choices I would go for the Pioneer subs...

  5. well me i wouldn't buy candy from walmart but subs or anything for that matter is a dumb idea. i had a friend who bought an amp from walmart and it didn't even come with any tools, fuses anything so that you can properly have it installed at all. that was about a year ago now but i don't think they changed and all the stuff at walmart you can find somewhere else for cheaper!

    don't mess with walmart.

also all of those subs are just not good no matter what amp you put to it or what equalizer. these to companies especially lie about there power handling the most it doesnt make sense to buy any sub that doesnt produce 45 is the lowest but 50% of its max power rating for its RMS.

pioneer the most they have 3 sub models that have rms rating at less than 500 watts and say they have 800,1000 even 1500 watts max and cant even produce 300 watts or 400 clearly.

it makes more sense to buy a kicker comp that says it produce 300 watts max and  150 rms and actually can handle 500watts! but i wouldn't do that if you like having good speakers. if you try pushing 400watts of raw power from like a JL or HIfonics amp into one of those low end pioneer subs the  cone would probably crack eventually.

  6. i didn't have read your entire question, Do not get anything from Walmart you are going to pay top dollar for those sub and they are not even that good try look at sonicelectronix.com or audioallies.com you can find plenty of deals on the internet  try Rockford, alpine, keenwood, ma audio, MTX i even think that you could get boss and them be better then the ones at walmart trust me one this one!

  7. Do not even buy car audio from Best Buy or Circut City, those chain stores need to stay with appliances and computers and such. Over priced equipment, and half a$$ed installers, which by the way are the ones that could not get hired at your local shops.
