  1. Yes, in every large city.  Guadalajara has at least 2 Walmart Supercenters, and a couple of Sam's as well.  Puerto Vallarta has them also.  Very similar to here, very modern, very busy.  They carry more Mexican food items, of course.  And TONS of Chinese import stuff.

  2. it's the same as here in the US, except if you are making pesos, walmart isn't the "cheap" place to go like it is here.  in fact, american goods are more money.  they also have sams, costco, HEB, starbucks, etc... in mexico.  and they are all like the are in the US.  and once again, all expensive in terms of mexican pesos.  but americans can go there with their american dollars, and it will the basically the same price...maybe a little more because of import taxes.

  3. According to Walmart's website, there are 942 Walmarts in Mexico.

I have been to the one in Cancun, as well as the Sams Club in Cancun.  They look pretty much like the ones in Texas, but with labels and signs in Spanish and prices in Pesos.  You'll see familiar as well as unfamiliar brands.

Still, it's pretty much the same.  Good place to grab a case of bottled water and some sunscreen and shop for souveniers when in Cancun.

  4. I live in Cancun and there are 3-Walmart's and a Sam's Club. Great fruits and veggies. The one close to the tourist area carries some souvenirs but mostly household goods.

Some one posted that the Walmart's were dirtier in Mexico...I disagree. They are cleaning all the time (floors, shelves).

We also have Costco's...Mexico may be considered a third world country but we do have modern shopping conveniences.

  5. yeah duh

  6. yes and sams clubs to even home depot much more tings you cant imagine and there the same just in spanish and peson but no they are not dirty like this person said there as clean as the ones in the usa

  7. they are just like the ones here, but a little more dirty.

  8. We want that c**p out of Mexico, we don't want it. They are not even selling US goods, everything is made in China and it's putting Mexican businesses in bankruptcy.

  9. Of course there's such thing...... I think you already got enough responses to see that they do truly exist. As well as all of the other businesses they mentioned: starbucks, dunkin donuts, krispy kreme, home depot, office depot, kinko's, sam's club, costco (previously known as price club), KFC, Popeye's, McDo, Burguer King.......... we're not Siberia, you know???? In fact we're invaded by american businesses, in some cases much to our dislike.... but that's globalization.

  10. Walmart in Mexico carries items that are in demand here, so the stock is somewhat different than in the U.S. Prices are generally low, but not always the lowest.  I live near the city of Xalapa... a city of nearly a million people.  There is one Walmart here and one Superama...the grocery chain owned by Walmart.  Walmart also owns a chain of restaurants in Mexico called VIPS.
