The Partenopei chief has his eyes set on beating Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana final, and has stated that their desire for victory is unmatched.
Walter Mazzarri has voiced his enthusiasm ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana match against Juventus, and has stated that he would love to continue winning more silverware for his team in the upcoming season.
The Azzurri won the Coppa Italia in the 2011-12 campaign, beating the Bianconeri in the final of the tournament, in the match that marked the first and the only defeat for the Serie A Champions in the whole season.
Mazzarri stated that Napoli may have won the first trophy in years under his regime, but insisted that he wants to continue his pursuit for silverware in the upcoming season, and start with winning their opening match.
The Partenopei manager also stated that the team may have not won the Supercoppa Italiana in a long time, but stressed that it is about time for the team that they step up to beat Juventus once again and claim the trophy.
The Azzurri coach was adamant that his team has come a long way from their humble beginnings, and stressed that the victories have given them a confidence that has added to their strength as a team.
Mazzarri admitted to the quality of their opposition in the upcoming trophy match, but maintained that they have a desire for victory that exceeds that of the Old Lady.
While talking to the press, the 50-year-old said:
