The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 head coach stated that a defeat at the Juventus Arena was plausible; however he bemoaned the manner in which the Partenopei lost to the Bianconeri.

The Azzurri were looking for a victory against the high flying Juve. Napoli, who have been embroiled in a three-way tussle for the third position along with the likes of
Udinese and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775, are all hoping to make their way into the Champions League.

However, Week 30 fixture of the Serie A made no impact on the point tally of the 3rd, 4th and 5th position. To be fair to the San Paolo
outfit, they had the toughest task at hand going into the 30th match of their season, facing the unbeaten Juventus.
Juventus were rampant at home and did not give many clear cut opportunities to the Azzurri attack, as Chiellini marshalled the Juve defence. He effectively kept the threat
of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 at bay.
Mazzarri reflected on where things went pear-shaped in the match, and stated that his side was suffering from playing too many matches this season. He was of the opinion
that the Old Lady were the superior side on the day and commented:
“We played on a par with
Juve until the second goal, then we lost our shape and got too irritable. After so many games in a season, we have lost a bit of sharpness, while
Juventus are defensively solid and we suffered against their physicality.”
Speaking on the exemplary performance put in the by the Italian international, Chiellini, in defence, the Partenopei tactician replied:
“Giorgio
Chiellini can mark three men all by himself, as he’s just impossible to get past. We were also unlucky on the first goal, but reacted well and looked for the
equaliser. After Arturo Vidal’s stunning goal we visibly fell away and were no longer able to get into the
game.”
The Azzurri boss conceded that his side failed to create any clear opportunities and his trio of Lavezzi-Cavani-Hamsik failed to make an impact on the proceedings of the
match. With eight games remaining in the Lega, Mazzarri would be hopeful of qualifying for the Champions League places.
