Walter Mazzarri believes that Napoli are a complete team and are ready for the challenge
Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri, believes that his squad is complete and is ready for competing in the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming campaign.
The Azzurri have made several new additions to the squad and have added cover in various positions to make it flexible of playing in different competitions. Napoli had an outstanding 2010/11 campaign and finished third in the league
table. The Naples based side have signed Gokhan Inler and Miguel Angel Britos as two major players in the team, while they have also signed a few more players.
The tactician believes that the squad has the ideal mix of quality and quantity and is hopeful that his team will continue with their good work. The 49-year-old is looking forward to the new season and has urged his team to be
patient and take one game at a time.
Mazzarri said, “We need to embrace the mentality of taking it one game at a time, giving our all in every occasion. In my view the squad is complete, because it is more than sufficient in terms of size and quality. Over the next
few days we’ll also welcome back the South Americans from their vacation.”
Napoli will take on Uruguayan club, Penarol, in a friendly game at the Stadio San Paolo on August 4th, 2011. The former Sampdoria boss believes that the game will be extremely important in terms of determining physical
