The head coach of the Vesuviani outfit has been extremely critical of the pitch at the San Paolo; however, he went on to commend the quality of Fiorentina.
Fiorentina have made a whooping 18 signings in this edition of the transfer window and they have not just gone and splashed the cash, they have been extremely shrewd with their signings. They have hunted a mix of youth and experience which is causing a stir
in the media, and it is expected that they would be having a great season ahead of them.
The duo of Daniele Prade, Fiorentina’s sporting director, and Vincenzo Montella, Viola’s head coach; have been extremely thorough with their transfer strategy. Despite the fact that they lost out on the signature of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 on the second last day
of the transfer window, they made the requisite adjustments and went on to sign free agent, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Toni-c22526.
The San Paolo outfit went on to win the match with a margin of one goal; however the Neapolitan home ground was in a shocking state. Coach Mazzarri went on to state that he was appalled by the state of the pitch that was on display, and remarked that it
was a hazard to play in.
The Italian was visibly distraught with the surface and stated that football at the highest level should never have pitches like this and remarked that something needs to be done about this as soon as possible. He was quoted to have said:
“Not only was it ugly, but it was also dangerous for the players who could hurt themselves on that surface. I hope someone will work to make the field suitable for the top flight.”
Coming to the topic of the match and their opposition, the Vesuviani tactician remarked that the Florence based outfit made them work hard for the three points and stated:
“As for the game, I want to compliment Fiorentina, as they started stronger and we were a little held back in the beginning. They were better in the first half, holding possession and deserved more.”
The Neapolitan outfit won 2-1 against the visitors.
