The Napoli head coach reflected on the future of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Walter-Gargano-c36598 and remarked that he wants the player to remain at the San Paolo; remained ambiguous in his speech.
The Partenopei defensive midfielder has attracted interest from various clubs owing to his spectacular performances for the Vesuviani in the previous season. The Uruguayan star has made a name for himself at the club and is one of the mainstays of the team
following his move from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danubio-c38898 to the Stadio San Paolo in 2007.
He has been consistent in his performances for the Naples based outfit and came to the side during the tenure of Edy Reja. When the current tactician, Walter Mazzarri, was quizzed on the future of their midfield general, he went on to state that Gargano
has been key player throughout his three years at the club.
The coach went on to state:
“You shouldn’t ask me whether Gargano could be sold. Gargano has been an important player for me over the last three years.”
Coach Mazzarri considers Gargano to be one of the keys players in the rise of the club to being a top tier club in the Serie A.
However, despite his fondness of the player, Mazzarri implied that the player would be allowed to leave the club if he did not want to play at the club anymore. He was quoted to have said:
“As a Coach, all I can say is that I want motivated players. Those that stay at this club must be proud to play for Napoli.”
There has been intense speculation around the future of the player, which led to the question from the media regarding his future at the club. Gargano remarked that he had a contract at the club, and he hoped to honour it, and stated that he was content
with life at the Naples based outfit.
Gargano, during his interview, went on to state:
“I have a contract at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and I’m happy to be here. I’ll stay until the club decide to sell me.”
Gargano is currently involved in the pre season training of the club, and are gearing for their Supercoppa Italiana tie against Juventus.
