The head coach of the San Paolo outfit has gone on to state that he is not bothered by the departures of key players like Walter Gargano and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Neapolitan outfit have been extremely busy in their pursuit of strengthening the squad during this edition of the transfer window. There have been a lot of players coming into the squad and Napoli have also quashed interest from other clubs into the
services of their key players.
There was heavy interest in the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955, the striker who struck on 33 occasions for the Vesuviani outfit in the previous season. Juventus were keen to add the Uruguayan into their ranks, but Aurelio De Laurentiis and Walter Mazzarri resisted
all offers for the players, and are keen to offer the player with a new revised contract which would effectively increase the salary of the player.
However, Mazzarri did let go of some key individuals as he bid farewell to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Walter-Gargano-c36598. Lavezzi had an agreement with the club that he would be leaving the club in the next summer and the move was decided to be for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Parisian outfit offered 30 million Euros for the services of the striker, which was accepted by the San Paolo outfit.
Gargano’s case was slightly different, as the player felt his chances would be diminished in the coming season due to the new signings. The Uruguayan requested for a move and his departure was for the black and blue half of Milan.
When quizzed about the departure of the players, Mazzarri was quoted to have said:
“If a player thinks that their time at a club is over then you can’t really do a lot about it. We liked Gargano a lot and he always played under me. It was the same situation for Lavezzi, but they made their decisions and they need to be respected.”
Gargano left the club amidst the arrivals of Valon Behrami from Fiorentina. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Gamberini-c4728, in the Behrami deal.
Mazzarri is optimistic of the future at the club.
