The Partenopei head coach has gone on to refute any statements made about winning the Serie A Championships, and stated that he is eyeing for improvement.
There are a lot of people who have commented on the progress made by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in the coming seasons, and with the transfer strategy that they employed during the last summer transfer window, many pundits and football personnel have been commenting on their
chances of lifting the Scudetto. The strength of Napoli can be seen by the fact that they rested their top stars from the Europa League in the midweek and the team managed to secure a comprehensive victory despite that.
The Neapolitan outfit have been in an extremely good vein of form and this was testified by the result that they had during their first four competitive matches of the seasons, in which they secured victories. However, despite the wonderful start the team
has had during the start of the season, they were unable to get past the defence of Catania on the fourth match day of the Serie A campaign.
This despite the fact that the Elefanti were down to ten men within the first two minutes of the commencement of the match; and on top of that the Vesuviani were looking to go away with a point. The Elefanti struck the goal post during the match as well,
and the Partenopei outfit left the match with a point.
The result has cast doubts over the credentials of the San Paolo outfit to mount a proper challenge to Juventus, who overcame a well drilled Chievo side, with a brace from Quagliarella. Mazzarri went on to remark that he had claimed there will be a marked
improvement in his side, and he mentioned:
“I never said we’d be fighting for the Scudetto, as I only ever talked about the growth of a squad and everyone knowing what to do on the field. Clearly teams who have been fighting for the top of the table for a long time have a different mentality in these
situations.”
Mazzarri remarked that there were no excuses for his team, as many had been rested in the midweek European clash.
