The former Sampdoria boss admits that his team were lucky against Roberto Donadoni’s men; feels bad for Andre Villas Boas after his sacking from Chelsea.
Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri, believes that his team did not deserve to win against Parma, as the refereeing decisions went in his side’s favour.
The Azzurri emerged victorious by a 2-1 margin thanks to the strikes from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073. Both goals were highlighted as controversial, as Cavani’s penalty was dubious, while the Argentine was offside with
his goal.
Mazzarri believes that draw would have been a fair result, but justice was done to Napoli after they lost the return fixture of the season to Gialloblu through controversial decisions from the referee.
The 50-year-old is lamenting at his team’s performance of the afternoon, and insists that they looked tired throughout the game. The former Sampdoria manager admitted that Parma were definitely superior of the two sides, but Napoli
were favoured by instances in the game.
While talking to the reporters, Walter Mazzarri said:
“This win was a compensation for when we lost to Parma earlier this season without deserving it. This time it was Parma who played well and a draw would’ve been the right result. We did not deserve to win, but got the points anyway.
I didn’t like the performance, as weren’t sharp, but that’s only to be expected with so many games in quick succession.”
Mazzarri also commented on the sacking of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss, Andre Villas Boas, insisting that he feels sorry for the Portuguese. Boas was sacked from his duties on Sunday, after a string of poor results of late.
“As a colleague, I’m sorry to hear that. I don’t know if this can be an advantage in Champions League terms, as at least we knew how Villas-Boas played. Now we’ll see.”
