The head coach of the Partenopei outfit has gone on to state his happiness with the attitude and the performance put in by his team against the Biancocelesti.
Walter Mazzarri had lamented the club a day before for their ineffective performance against Catania, a match which they drew even though they were playing against ten men. Catania lost Pablo Alvarez to a red card for his foul on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955, and the
incident took place in the second minute of the match. Napoli could not capitalise on the numbers and were unable to trouble the score line as the match concluded to a goalless draw.
The performance had irked the coach at the Vesuviani outfit, who warned his players not to put in such a performance in their next match against Lazio. The Biancazzurri have been performing well in the Serie A in the current campaign, and Mazzarri had gone
on to state the importance of his team in making sure that they do not let the quality of football being played in the team drop. He further went on to state that the match against Lazio is one of extreme importance.
Mazzarri’s troops heeded to his call and performed supremely well in the match. Napoli were taking on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 for the first time this season, and their Uruguayan star striker made sure that they have something to remember him by upon the second fixture of
the season as well.
Coach Mazzarri reflected on the performance of his men against the Biancocelesti, and remarked that they did exactly as they were told, and gave full credit to everyone for pitching in with a wonderful display of football. He went on to state that the team
should not feel relaxed at any time, as that leads to mistakes being made on the field of play, he went on to comment:
“I told the side that we could lose this evening, because Lazio are a great side, but the important thing was to see the right attitude and character on the field. That is what I saw tonight. When we relax, then we always risk embarrassing ourselves, but
today the team went out there with the right approach.”
