The head coach of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 has gone on to remark on the idea of calling it quits by the end of the current season, while reflecting on his coaching philosophy.
The former Reggina head coach has gone on to remark on his experiences of recent past and also reflected on the fact that he might want to take a break from coaching after the end of the season. Taking mid career breaks has become a norm of late, especially
when you see coaches who have enjoyed great success pushing the pause button in their career.
The most prominent name that fills this criterion has to be the former head coach of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, Pep Guardiola, who has managed to achieve it all in the colours of Barcelona. At the peak of his coaching career, he decided to hit the brakes and take time out
for his family, and currently he is residing in New York, where he is learning English amongst other activities. It is noteworthy to state that Guardiola won 14 titles in his four year stint at Barcelona as their head coach.
Besides the example of Pep, there is also the example of former Napoli manager, Edy Reja, who took time off after guiding http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 to the Europa League. This just goes on to show the pressures that are prevalent at the top level and the need of coaches to take
some time off the game.
Walter Mazzarri was talking to La Repubblica and during his interview with the magazine, he went on to remark that he always took each day as it came. He went on to comment on the result of the Italian Super Cup, and the repercussions it had on him. Mazzarri
mentioned that he was willing to quit from his post, and remarked:
“I live one day at a time. On occasions I hear and see things that make me want to quit, to just give up. After the Italian Super Cup loss to Juventus in Beijing I had a desire, a real desire, to resign.”
He also confirmed that he might consider the possibility of stepping down from his post at the club after this season.
