The Partenopei boss has described the Coppa Italia victory over the Turin giants as ‘unthinkable’; dedicates the success to entire squad and commits his future to the club.
Napoli beat Juventus 2-0 in the final of the Italian Cup at Stadio Olimpico Rome on Sunday, May 20.

The victory over Napoli has taken Walter Mazzarri by surprise, as his team ended Juventus’ unbeaten run in the final game of the season. The Turin giants, who were recently crowned as the 2011/12 Serie A Champions, had not lost
a single game throughout the campaign. However, Napoli showed great character and determination to get the better of the Italian champions and record a memorable victory.
After failing to qualify for the next edition of UEFA Champions League, the Coppa success will provide a big boost to the Partenopei side.
Mazzarri has hailed the victory and insists that it is a team effort, and is the reward of their hard work of previous three years.
While to the reporters, Mazzarri remarked:
“It was almost unthinkable to beat Juventus over 90 minutes when they hadn’t lost all season. It was an achievement within an achievement. The whole team achieved something extraordinary over these three years. Hamsik, Cavani and
Lavezzi are name-checked all the time, but they all deserve to be hailed on an equal level and as a group.”

his contract which runs until 2013.

The Partenopei side will automatically enter the group stages of UEFA Europa League after winning the Italian Cup.
Napoli are set for a sterner test, as they will look to tie the future of their Three Tenors in the summer transfer window.
