The Partenopei outfit are in the running to contest for the Scudetto and they have had their ups and down this season. However, after getting ahead of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan on the 14th match day of the season, it was imperative for the Vesuviani side to
keep the pressure up in the Lega so that the opposition did not catch up to them. While commenting on the match against the Delfini, Walter Mazzarri made his disappointment and anger with the players of the team clear by stating that his anger was through
the roof at the half time.
Furthermore, he remarked on the complacency that came within the team after they had gone in the lead by two goals and he remarked that it was the worst thing that they could have done at the time. While remarking on the lessons to be learnt from the match,
he remarked that there was a need to put a stop to this madness and he mentioned that it would be the end of them, if they continue with this spell of form.
While commenting on the performances of his midfielders, he remarked that he had seen a gap in his side last year, where he witnessed the team was not encouraging midfielders to go in the final third and be decisive. This was the reason why he went on to
sign extremely attacking midfielders who would guarantee him with a certain amount of goals through the campaign.
He was quoted to have said:
“I got very angry at half-time. We scored two goals and then seemed to rest on our laurels. We ran a big risk and I cannot see these dips in concentration. At least the experience will help us to grow. In past years we struggled to score with our midfielders,
but we’ve signed players who are capable of being dangerous in attack so we can help open up opposition defences.”
Mazzarri went on to commend the performances of Gokhan Inler for the Vesuviani cause.
