The AS Roma sporting director is all praise for the work done by former Barcelona B coach, and targets UEFA Champions League qualification.

AS Roma sporting director, Walter Sabatini, is delighted with his team’s 1-0 win over Parma at the weekend.
The weekend results have put the Giallorossi in the fifth spot, with only four points separating them from third placed Udinese.
Sabatini is confident that his team can bridge the gap and finish the season among the top three.
While talking to the reporters, Sabatini said:
“Third place? You must create the premise. Every Sunday we have to fight to reach that target.”
The Giallorossi chief believes that the capital side is in a good position to face up to the challenge for the final UEFA Champions League qualification spot. However, he insists that to achieve their objectives, they will have
to fight with the correct mental approach.
“To not fight would be ungenerous to ourselves and to our fans. Starting from next Sunday, we will start a little League that we have to play in.”
Sabatini also took time to commend manager Luis Enrique, whose future at Stadio Olimpico Rome is a subject of much speculation in the media. The Spaniard is linked with a return to Barcelona to replace Pep Guardiola at the end
of the season.
However, the Roma chief rates Enrique highly and insists that he has done a tremendous job at the club.
“A vote for Enrique? The maximum possible, 10.  He is a great conductor, a tireless worker with an internal fire, a spark that is perpetually lit.”
Sabatini further added that he supports Enrique’s mission to implement attacking style of football similar to what they play at Barcelona. The chief has faith in Enrique’s new project despite facing some difficulties over its implantation
in all matches.
“So far we have only constructed conditions to encourage it to grow.”
Sabatini’s own future at Stadio Olimpico Rome is under dark clouds, as he is linked with a return to Palermo.
