Women’s Doubles partners Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang F forged fruitful chemistry and claimed the trophy after beating Christinna Pedersen-Kamilla Rytter Juhl in BWF Superseries Finals on December 16, 2012.
This title match prolonged to 35 minutes in local badminton arena of Shenzhen and both contenders entertained the crowd while registering 21-16 and 21-14 margin.
A decent number of spectators assembled to support the native shuttlers and the World Number three duo Wang Xiaoli-Yu Yang did not disappoint them.
Both Chinese campaigners served notice of their supremacy with a splendid straight-set victory and gave their supporters a solid reason to celebrate.
On the other hand, the Danish players also put an honest effort but luck was not on their side and they had to face a woeful exit.
The battle heated up straight away in the beginning of first set as both teams strived hard to gain an early advantage.
They remained toe-to-toe and did not allow each other to make a notable difference on the points table.
Both pairs were standing equal at 9-9 when the twosome of Christinna and Kamilla prevailed in couple of rallies and placed a respectable total of 11.
However, their dominance was really short-lived as the local duo stormed back with a strong reply and tipped the scale in its favour.
At first, Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang bagged few consecutive points and levelled the score and then ruled the court in six rallies to pile up a mountainous figure of 18-13.
This deficit proved last nail in the coffin for the Danish players as they could not rise on their toes and knelt down after reading 16-21 margin.
The following game was relatively a one-sided affair as it kept the audience intact just until the half time.
The Chinese players gathered some pace immediately after the break and left their challengers far behind with an indomitable lead.
They mounted pressure by registering an impressive total of 15-8 and then magnified the impact by adding some valuable points in their score.
Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang looked completely on song in the final stage and they earned the right to be on top spot of the victory stand with 21-14 margin.
