China’s Wang Xin continued her blistering performance as she toppled Korea’s Bae Youn Joo in Women’s Singles title match at the Uber Cup Finals 2012 at Wuhan, China, on Saturday, May 26.
The World Number 2 Xin was in tremendous form while playing against the Korean opponent and wrapped up an inspiring win while putting up staggering show of impressive badminton.
The higher ranked Chinese shuttler cheered her home fans while playing attacking badminton and overpowered her lower ranked opponent in straight sets while working for just 39 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, the World Number 13 Youn Joo tried her best to play her normal game but failed to disturb the flow of her Chinese opponent and lost the contest in straight games without giving a considerable fight.
In the opening set of this Women’s Singles clash, the higher ranked Chinese found a thrashing start when she controlled the pace of rallies and remained ahead on the board without facing any considerable problem form her lower ranked rival.
In the meanwhile, Youn Joo could not find a good start as she remained struggling to break the rhythm of her Chinese rival and remained trailing miles behind on the score board until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Xin continued cheering her home fans by playing tremendous badminton and did not show any mercy to her Korean opponent at any stage.
The Chinese bagged the first game in a sensational manner with a stunning 21-10 margin on the board.
In the second game, Xin again took a superb start by playing to her maximum potential and set up an incredible lead of 9-2.
The Korean tried to play better badminton but failed to bridge the gap and remained behind on the board until the break.
After the interval, the Chinese continued putting up strong show in the court without facing any trouble from Youn Joo and wrapped up the set with a comfortable margin of 21-16.
Xin proved her superiority in front of her home fans by winning this important match with a 21-10 and 21-16 score on the board.
