Wang Xin stamps her supremacy over Porntip Buranaprasertsuk at Uber Cup Finals 2012 – Badminton news
China’s Wang Xin put up remarkable show of aggressive badminton and remained successful in giving a severe lesson to Thailand’s Porntip Buranaprasertsuk at the semi-final contest at the Uber Cup Finals 2012 in China, on Thursday, May 24.
The in-form Xin, who is World Number Two in Women’s Singles category at the moment, put up thrilling show and toppled her lower ranked Thai opponent in straight games without facing any trouble.
The higher ranked Xin played with tremendous precision in the court and remained successful in winning the battle in straight games while taking just 32 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, the lower ranked Porntip could not cope up with the incredible speed and skills of her higher ranked Chinese opponent and lost the fight without putting up strong resistance.
In the first game, the Chinese shuttler remained impressive in the court as she played with precision and managed to take a wonderful lead of 11-6 until the one-minute interval.
After one-minute the break, the Thai lady changed her tactics and started to play positive badminton by putting up variations in her strokes.
Porntip managed to catch up the difference by reaching at 14-14. However, she could not take lead as her rival again took over the control.
Xin played with superb precision at this ending stage of the opening set and took it with a reasonable 21-17 score on the board.
In the following set, Xin gave a shocking treatment to her lower ranked Thai opponent while displaying a phenomenal performance as she took a stunning lead of 11-1 until the one-minute interval.
On the other hand, the Thai shuttler completely failed to put up even a meagre resistance against in the court and remained miles behind on the board.
After the one-minute interval, Xin remained on track as she did not show any mercy to her rival and remained successful in finishing off the second set with a surprising 21-2 margin on the score board.
The higher ranked Xin emerged as winner against Porntip in this lopsided competition with a thrashing score of 21-17 and 21-2.
