get a builder to give you an estimate for labour & materials.. without looking & discussing your requirements or having drawings etc. it is impossible to give an accurate costing.

otherwise write a full specification of works & list ALL the work that you want to include.

It wouldn't help you if people gave you the cost of materials in the U.S. or Canada etc. and you're buying them in the UK or somewhere else. Why don't you give the country you'll be buying the materials in, or just price them locally in your town?????

In the U. S. blocks are usually 8 inches x 16 inches.

Getting 3 quotes from builders works - or your local home center has many material lists - they may provide with estimates free of charge.

Going with a sloped roof like a gable roof http://www.homeplansforfree.com/Free_New... may cost the same amount as a flat roof because of the roofing materials and extra labor cutting each stud on an angle when framing. A simple gable roof is often the way to go.

Blocks here in the US at Lowes were like $1.28 each. I think they were around 18" long and 8" high or something like that. Check Lowes.com you may be able to get a quote there but not sure if it will help if you are in another country.
