My brother lives in Virginia and I live in Florida and we are on the phone all the time, I got a Tracphone(pre-pay)and when I was setting up the service and the operator asked me what area code I was in , I said 703(Virginia)Now when he calls me it's a local call because I have a Virginia phone number and therefore ....FREE!

ok but you still have to pay the expensive trac phone...aren't you paying for the call everytime he calls you?

Not true. You are using your Tracfone airtime.!!! Tracfone has a rather high per minute airtime charge. (Up to 45 cents a minute.) Depending on how much time you add to your account. Also Tracfone cards are only good for 60 days, unless you buy 1 year of time.!! (That is why I like the 18 cents a minute Virgin Mobile.!! Which also is good for 90 days, no extra charges.)
