  1. i say a 4 stroke if you have never raced and just want to finish with a smile so you get the feel of the way the race works i dont care what you do to prepare yourself for the race but until you actually ride in the race its a lot different and i think for starters a KDX200 might be to much for something like that but honestly just go out and ride im just moved up to b class and i said about time and my uncle is number 1 on the east coast for enduro racing and he told me as long as you have fun nothing else really matters but a lot of these boys and girls get filled with sugar and will kill to win so everything to them is just winning.... just have fun......

  2. Although you are a beginner I think you should try sitting on a 250cc and try it for size as you are quite tall and may find it almost too small for you.  It would be a good bike to start with for enduro but no good if you are all legs on it and may need to look at a 400 simply for the size of you.  If you know anyone who does enduro and has bikes ask to have a try riding them and see what bike fits you best.

  3. A 4 stroke 250 from any of the major brands is going to be a very good starter for a guy your size. While the KDX is a very good machine, you will find the dependability and smooth delivery of power from the 4 strokes to be superior. Do NOT buy one of the 650's suggested above. Both bikes are a nightmare off-road. Once you get good, splurge on that Suzuki RM or DR400Z. It is the perfect off-road, non-motocross, machine.

  4. get a rmz250

  5. Go with a KLR 650 or DR650. Both are fantastic 6days machine's
