  1. Here's a sample day of delicious vegetarian food:

Breakfast: Omelette with peppers and tomatoes

Lunch: Tomato, basil, and mozzarella sandwich

Dinner: Refried beans and cheddar cheese quesadilla

The best meat substitutes can be found here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...

I personally reccomend Morning Star Chick'n nuggets if you want meat. I couldn't believe it wasn't real!  Also, tofu is delicious if you know recipes of how to cook it because it besaically takes on the taste of whatever you cook it with and has a meat-like texture.

  2. well done for taking the first step! I lovee stir fries- mine are made up of mushrooms, noodles, red pepper, onions and soy sauce. get the idea? or quorn stuff is amazing

2 help resist against meat look into how there slaughtered. why would you want to eat dead animal flesh?

hope this helps and good luck!

  3. try visiting that web site. ↓

  4. Actually I think it depends on whether you want to be vegan or an ovo-lacto vegetarian. It is much easier to resist meat if you can eat eggs and dairy. But here is a website that offers some detailed tips on going vegetarian:

    Hope it helps!

  5. Just look at meat as though it is a rotting carcus (that's basically what is).  If you associate meat with animals and you picture (for example) ribs actually on a pig/cow, then you might think 'ew'.

If you miss meat and wants some meat substitutes that's fine, as there are many out on the  market, but be aware that these aren't the healthiest things to be eating.  I'd reccommend eating a large variety of fruits and vegetables and to stop things from becomming boring, try to make meals you'd typically make with meat and just substitute the meat with eggplant/tofu/fake meat/etc.

  6. im a vegetarian have been all my life its easier that way

there are loads of tasty food that doesnt get boring just try different foods without meat in

    just dont eat the meat..

    u can resist ..

  7. I am not vegetarian but I eat of few of the meals go to allrecipes.com type in vegetarian or vegan in the serch bar and have fun. I made some amazing meatballs with no meat but eggplant.

  8. Just stop buying meat and use your willpower!

  9. Maybe if you do it gradually? Start elimintaing the red meat and pork..then little by little omit things until you are as strict as you want to be. For me not eating meat was more about me not likeing the texture or flavor so it wasn't hard. I was that way for 12 yrs before I started eating chicken and turkey again but i don't think I will ever eat red meat or pork again. As for the flavors, use hummus dips and salsas to perk up your food. The Morningstar and Veggieburger products are good!

  10. but those begetarian burgers i heard they were pretty good

  11. meat is so good though why would you want to give it up?

  12. Like any diet, this is a lifestyle choice that needs some research so you can stay healthy and maintain it. If you eliminate a whole food group, you have to replace those nutrients with something else or else you will crave them and fall off the wagon, discouraging yourself.

In the case of cutting out meat, you need to pick up proteins. Meat is the only complete protein in a single food item. Vegetable proteins need to be combined to be complete.

Beans and rice is a worldwide dish because it is a complete protein. Satisfying, nutritious.

You need to decide if you want to eat other animal products like eggs and dairy, also fish. If so, it's easier. However, you may disagree with this from an animal rights perspective, and there are always arguments out there about how good these are for you...changing info from varying sources.

Soy is a very good protein source. Soy milk, tofu, edamame, TVP (often used like hamburger).

Nuts and seeds. Peanut butter is probably the cheapest meat substitute there is...but it has sugar and is high fat.

Good strategy is to pick up a good multivitamin when you make the switch.

Maybe the most sensible thing is to ease into this...slowly decrease meat from your diet until you are eating the right amount for you (which may be totally meatless).

    ^^

    hope that helps

  14. If you're becoming vegetarian for animal rights reasons, then you can always get motivation for not eating meat from watching videos on peta2.com.

If you're becoming vegetarian for health reasons, ie. losing weight, then you could look in the mirror and really ask yourself if you want to really eat it.

It really depends why you want to stop eating animals.
