I have glasses and have had them for awhile. I try not to wear them when I don't need to, but since I am starting high school, I really think its time for my parents to give in and buy me contacts.

So, I have two questions.

1. How do I convince my parents?

&

2. What is the BEST brand of contacts to use?

  1. first, try and show them that you are responsible and that you will take good care of them.  i think you'll find a way to show them

    2. acuave oaysis.  they are the best and you can't even feel them!  they are the best.

  2. 1. my parents werent gonna buy me them, either (i got contacts today) but when the lady asked whether i wanted glasses or contacts at the optomotrist, my mom said glasses then i begged her and the lady said that they would be okay for me and the wouldnt hurt, and my moms like "Welllllllllll ok."

    2. I use Opti-Free Replensih, and it works really well, they are soft lenses, and are VERY comfertable.I cant feel them at all! I didnt have much of a choice, though, because the place i go to only carries one brand, so thats what i got stuck with, lol.

    Good Luck!

  3. 1) To convince your parents, just have them visit this website:

    http://www.jnjvision.com/about_contacts....

And make sure they read up on everything!

    2) Don't worry about picking a brand- most of the times, the doctor will pick a kind FOR you to wear, so you dont have to.

  4. You just ask your parents and if one of them has contacts they'll understand and my mom and i use baush & lamb

  5. Your parents shouldn't be too against you getting contact lenses. They are comfortable, easy to take care of, and much less of a hassle. I hated never being able to wear sunglasses, I couldn't see if I wanted to go swimming, not to mention almost everyone looks better when glasses aren't covering up their face. Just let them know you're tired of your glasses and their drawbacks... They aren't that expensive either. As for the BEST brand to use... It probably varies between people so... I don't know, ask your eye doctor. :P

    Good luck.
