Want a Tour of Seattle,Wa,from Southern Oregon?

We're leaving the car at home, so we would like to find the best way to

plan a 2-3 day travel package, to Seattle, with hotel accom/ preferably, by train, what would you suggest ?

I have never booked one of their packages, but Amtrak offers packages including train fares and hotels.

Note that Amtrak has several trains a day from Eugene and north, but only the Coast Starlight goes beyond (to Klamath Falls) and it passes through south central Oregon in the middle of the night.
