ceremony:

a favourite restaurant/ cafe, an indoor garden (at the zoo or an atrium in a building), outdoor park, backyard patio

write your own vows, incorporate each person to do something unique that celebrates their history with you,

food:

have it catered at your home, do a late evening & candle-lit wine/ cheese, an afternoon tea/ desserts

other: do a fun activity together ( mini-golf, bowl, campfire, wine tasting)

why don't  you have the ceremony at the registry then all of you go out to dinner....

Yeah, why not? Me and my hubby invited only 17 people(including family members) to our wedding held in Feb 2008.

what season do you plan on having your wedding? If you were doing it in late spring, early fall do a nice little outside wedding.

My Mom and Dad had only their parents and her younger siblings (all under 18 at the time) at their wedding.  He wore a suit. She wore a lovely white suit (which she wore at other events later on, I might add).  They had cake afterwards.  There were no local restaurants then, but you might consider going to one. Most restaurants have small private banquet areas, particularly, really nice restaurants.

im getting married in a couple of weeks and its a small wedding. what kind of ideas would you like?

We're:

getting married outside... under a gazebo.

having cherry cheesecake instead of regular cake.

not having any brides maids or groomsmen.

doing alot of it ourselves.

having the reception at a family members house.

theres lots of this that you can do. if you have any specific questions ask me. im full of ideas.

I went to a lovely small wedding where everyone rented a cottage/ farmhouse and spent the weekend together. It was very intimate andf special.
