I am from Utah & between the Mormons running the state & the lack of anything green not to mention the horrible public schools we want to move on to greener pastures. We paid 155K for our 1946 brick rambler with 4 bds 2 bths & 1800sf We would like something bigger for less money out in the country somewhere with lots of trees, close to lakes & with 4 seasons, low humidity & mtns. How do I find out where the best places would be to look. Oregon is beautiful but Real Estate is crazy & there are no jobs. Any suggestions would be helpful Thanks...

  1. Move to Talihina, OK.  It is a small community nestled in a valley with mountains all around it.  I know they say there are no mountains in OK but we have mighty huge hills that once you see them, you'll swear (like we do) that they are mountains.  We have Buffalo Mountain, Kiamichi Mountain, Winding Stair Mountain and Middle Mountain.  There is a national forest 10 miles from here.  Many of trees and great scenery.  155K will get you plenty down here.  The 2 main employers in town are the Veterans Center and the hospital.  45 minutes one way leads to McAlester or 45 minutes the other way leads to Poteau...
