  1. Your son can go to Preschool for free when he has reached 3 years old. The start of the term immediately after his birthday. You get vouchers which entitles him to 5 x 2 1/2 hour sessions for 38 weeks. Before 3 years old there is nothing that is free unfortunately. Try asking a relative maybe for help a few days a week if possible. They may only be too glad to help.

  2. Have you checked with your local school district for preschool programs which usually begin at age three.

  3. there are a lot services that can provide daycare at a lost cost or free for low-income familes, try looking into the YMCA I know they have daycare and offer it for lower $  Also try checking out church or church ran daycares too. If you can get in touch with the WIC program, they can assist you and help get you daycare.

  4. If you are in the UK - visit your local Children's Centre. They should have some kind of help or advice in place for you to enquire about.

  5. Many parent and toddler groups/stay and play groups are now free...especially ones run by Children's Centres---ask Social Care Services, local council, look on council website etc to look them up also try: http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk/index.as... you would have to stay with your child but as you said he would benefit from being with other children and you may meet a parent who can give you support.

    Funding doesnt begin till term after child's 3rd birthday in England....but try contacting Social Care Services or your health visitor as they could try and sponsor your child.

    Otherwise other option is to speak to family and see if they can help you!

  6. get a job and dont bake of society

  7. not certain, I know some nurserys run by school take children from age 3, but not 2.

  8. so get a job in the evenings or at a day nursery where your son could also go

  9. they go into school nursery at age 3 for free. but at two you have to pay if you are claiming tax credits you may be able to get help with this? ask the nursery you choose.

  10. In Pennsylvania, we have a program that assists low-income families with child care.  You need to be working, looking for work, or enrolled in school to qualify and, of course, you have to meet low income guidelines.  In some counties there are wait lists.  I'm not sure what your state might have to offer.  Perhaps if you check with the Department of Human Services in your area, they can direct you to any services your state offers.  You might also check with some directors of daycares in your area.  If they are serving subsidized children, they will certainly know who you can contact.  When your child turns three, your local Head Start can also help you with early childhood education services.

  11. Honey, go and volunteer at a preschool and ask if your son can come with you.    Or go back to college and you may be able to find a college which would pay for your son to attend preschool while you are studying ( I did this) and then the whole family benefits. Don't be negative you will always find a way if you keep trying.

  12. I've never heard of a preschool for 2 year olds, but you can check with your local libraries and bookstores. They have free storytimes that will help get your 2 year old into the "classroom" setting. Plus, the attention span of a 2 year old is not that long, so a 30 minute story time may be all he can handle.

    In addition, while you are at the library, check out books on scheudling your toddler's day. You can do the things at home that most preschools will do. Don't push him too hard academically, but do nursery rhymes, stories, and lots of hands on activities (play doh you can make at home, fingerpainting, cooking).

    Then, look around in your local newpapers for playgroups. That will help him get the social interaction with other kids that he would get in preschool. Two- year olds still tend to play in tandem, but as he gets used to having other kids around, he will naturally start playing with the other kids.

    Also ... based on your income level, check to see if there is a HeadStart program in your area. He may be able to go there for free, but he has to be 3.

    God bless!

  13. go to these:

    i hoped i helped

  14. I agree with the person that said get a job at a daycare. If you work at a daycare, they will sometimes allow the child to go free or for a very small fee. If you are lucky maybe you can find a place to work that has it's own daycare, or maybe find a job where you can work from home.

  15. Unfortunately no schools will take children that are 2 years old without having to make some sort of payment each week. Even when your son does turn 3 years old most schools only offer a half day session which means if you did find a position it could only be part-time for the time your son is in school but that will not get you much money. Here are some alternatives:

    a) since you do not work and your partner doesn't make much, you should not have a problem going to your local ss office and applying for childcare vouchers, you can use these for daycare and some nursery schools as well;

    b) start looking for a job for yourself and also ask your relatives if they would be willing to watch your son when you have an interview and probably for the first 2-3 weeks until you get your first check and can afford to put him in daycare or maybe you could just pay your relatives for childcare and save some of your money since you wouldn't be paying regular daycare prices;

    c) have your partner watch your son when they are home and you can get a job during that time, it may be hard and you will probably be tired but then at least you will both be working and your son will be cared for by both of his parents as well.

    I really wish you the best and do not give up things will get better.

  16. if you go to work at least 16 hrs per week you can claim 85% of your childcare costs from the DWP.

    Get your little one signed up at a nursery then make the claim to DWP (department of work and pensions), as you will need the nursery or daycare registration number for the claim to go through. This is called working tax credits. do you get tax credits? you should do as you are in a low income.

    hope it helps.

    check out the website for more info.

    www.dwp.org.uk

    good luck.

  17. There are not many programs for two-year-olds.  However, things start looking up when your child turns three.

    The Head Start program is set up to serve low income families.

    There are no fees.  Even if your child doesn't qualify for enrollment, they may be able to help you find good childcare.

    I'd check the yellow pages for a Head Start program in your area or web search something like:  Mississippi Head Start programs.
