can someone explain more on what "if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain" means?

  1. It means that you have to put up with the bad before you can get the good. I hope that's clear enough for you lol.


  2. A rainbow is a beautiful sight, a rare occurrence, and a magnificent experience by being an aspect of science. This happens in the after the rainstorms when the sun comes back out.  

    Based on basic kindergarten understanding of suns are "happy" and rain clouds are "sad"  as well as storms being like destructive. Looking into that, this saying is an upper level of that concept.  

    If you want the best, you have to put up with the worst. Or even, in order to experience something as beautiful and wonderful as a rainbow(good things), first you have to put up with the rain.(bad things).

  3. basically put up with the bad (rain) until you get the good or happiness (rainbow)
