  1. The thing to consider : how long is your visa valid in UK? If you can stay legally in UK for one year or more, then you can apply for Canadian Immigration from UK. But if your current visa is less than one year, then you can't apply from UK and you can only apply from your home country.

    Your prior stay in UK is not relevant. The regulation states that you must be legally admissible for one year or more in the country from where you intend to apply, given the fact that this country is not your home country. You can be in this country on any kind of visa, e.g. student, workpermit, settlement or tourist, but you must visa validity for one year or more. The reason is that immigration procedure takes about more than one year, and if you dont have visa then you cant appear from this country for medical or interview, even if you are eligible.
