Want to ask about Little Mermaid film series?

Question

I am planning to buy Little Mermaid 2008 DVD

But when i search , i found many films.

Little Mermaid: 1989, 2000, and 2008. They seem to be a series movie, arent they ?

Additionaly, i found Little Mermaid Disney classic, is it the same ?

Anyone know about this movie can answer me

there was the original little mermaid movie and then a few years ago they came out with the one that continues the story, however disney channel came out with a tv series that airs ridiculously early in the a.m. and the 2008 version that i watched today is what happens before the first movie, when she was little

The original film came out in 1989.

The sequel Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea was a direct to home release and takes place (really) about 14 years after the first.

The new one which releases tomorrow "Ariel's Beginnings takes place about four years before the movie and about two years before the TV series.

I bring this up because Ariel was about 12 when she first met flounder and in LM3, she "meets" flounder for the first time again

The Classis was the rerelease that was issued in 1998 and the Platinum edition a couple of years ago

uh, by Little Mermaid 2008 do you mean The Little Mermaid Arial's Beginning? There are 3 of the movies including the newest one, but i dont know what ur asking...

From what i know. . .

the sequel to The Little Mermaid came out around 2000, but im not sure if thats the same one.

A new prequel is coming out sometime this year or next year, so that could be what the 2008 means.

thats the only other explination i can think of

It originally came out in 1989 so that one is most likely is Video cassette

2000 one is a Sequel where they gave Ariel a Daughter, you want the 2008 when they re -released it ... they also have just released a new one Called Ariel The Beginning ...Try searching The  Little Mermaid on Disney DVD ...
