Want to be a Disney Channel Actress?

Question

I am a twelve year old girl, and I really want to be a Disney Channel Actress. I have great acting skills, and over time I have developed enough skill to easily make myself cry, smile, and I can look truly innocent, or shy, even angry. I can easily keep a straight face, and I have moved 14 times, and at each new home, I have acted as someone I am not, totally changing to excercise my acting abilities. I have a lot against me though, because I am not as skinny as the Disney Channel Actresses, and I can't sing. Any suggestions on an agency, or just any tips over all. Please help.

no one wants a photo of a possible talent in sunglassess, makes your photos useless.   Better try to get into a school play or community play to see if you have any talent. Acting is different from pretending you are someone else.  Anyway, you are not going to be a Disney star without your parents working hard to make it happen, that is how Miley did it.

to have a desire to be an actress is a tough challenge itself and to only want to sign with one company its almost impossible.

One way to make it to the big time is to volunteer you time at fashion shows, talent shows, theater, etc.  I know a girl who is now an international model.  She started out doing a small fashion show for a friend whose father had cancer.  A talent scout was there and signed her on for local talent right away.  Then at one of the local gigs there was a national scout and she started doing stuff in New York, then in New York things just exploded for her and now she has an apartment in Paris.  She's only 17!!

okay first of all dont listen to anyone that told you all of those thing listen to me i am actress and i just want to tell you get and agent never pay them if they ask you they get 15 percent of what you make you can make it in disney if you want your parents dont have to work hard for it i am like a regular teen and my parents have normally jobs and i got a call back for disney you can do any thing you want but i dont suggest you get singing classes cause most of the disney actresses and actors no how to sing and it doesnt matter if you are thin our not just follow your dream

You sound talented but the thing is that you need to be really talented. Can you do any sports, play any intruments, can you dance? If you can do any of those than they can really help. Do you take acting classes? Those will really help and try to join as much things associated with acting as possibe. eg. drama club at school. If you have any other talents work on them as well, take dance lessons, music tuition, do sports. Once you think you are really confident look for an agent. Agents cost NOTHING. They get 10% of what you earn you if you make money, they make money so if you find an agent and they want money straight away find another agent. It is very hard to get an agent but be confident and do your best. Also be yourself.

It doesn't matter if you aren't skinny, there are plenty of disney stars who aren't that thin. But overall, looks don't effect anything, just smile and be presentable. That's one of the things an agent looks for - confidence.
