Question:

Want to be a print journalist, not broadcast?

Hey guys. I'm still in high school but really want to get into journalism. Thing is, I really want to write. Probably for an internet publication. I know that's normal, but is it normal that the idea of being a broadcast journalist doesn't appeal to me at all? Like, that would be way down on my list. Does that make sense? I think it's just because writing is my passion.

  1. h**l yes, it makes sense.  You can start writing for any internet publication right now.  Just start sending out some samples of stories, articles, bios, reviews, or whatever it is you prefer.  Who knows? Maybe you can make a few bucks.  Meanwhile, next year you should go to a college with a reputable journalism school.  You might have to intern somewhere for lousy (or no) money, but at least it's a start.  Best of luck to you.
