  1. Reading a lot helps, the more you read the easier your mind takes in words.  Don't focus on remembering the words too much as it won't help, think more of the story as a whoel and how the character is feeling when saying the lines and why they are saying them.  Keep going over the lines until they are in your head and until it just becomes natural.

One thing a director of mine taught my company of actors was to point at a certain spot/point in the room your in and say the first line then point at the same spot and say the same line then point at another spot and say next line, repeat this and add lines as you go just be really definate as you point and say the lines with purpose.

Hope this helps, break a leg! =] x

  2. You just have to practice until you can find what works for you to memorize things. Some people read the first line - then cover up the monologue and recite it. Then read the second line - then cover up the monologue and recite lines 1 + 2.. and so forth until you have the whole thing.

It takes practice to get your brain "trained" to memorize things easily. The more you memorize, the easier it will get. Notice words and find a way to say it so you can remember it. [if that makes any sense to you]

Try to memorize everything you see - seriously. It will get easier to memorize things if you just keep doing it. You'll notice word patterns that you can remember and recognize and it makes it easier to recite it back.

Am i making any sense? lol

  3. You suck because you don't want it bad enuf yet.  You'll get there when you see people less-skilled than you become famous.  I worked as a Stage Designer.  It does help if you are handsome or beautiful; it's not fair but everyone wants to watch beautiful people on stage or on screen.

Marlon Brando was so bad at remembering his lines that the director of The Godfather "hid" his lines among the scenery so he could cheat and read them.

You have to go on lots of auditions.  THey are open to almost anyone.  Mostly in L.A.   Go and sit in a chair and wait until you are called.  If you end up waiting tables in a restaurant, all the other waiters are actors , too.

  4. if you can't remeber lines or monologues you can't be an actor .
