Want to buy a RC Car, Any suggestions?

I want to buy an RC Car, unfortantely I don't know much about them. I would like to have something that is considered enthusiast like and not some ToY's R Us model.

I would like it to go fast too... Can you recommend any models?

Also if you can refer me to any sites where I can learn about them I would be greateful.

Tamiya brand RCs are good. I've had them for near 10 years now. I recommend their tb-01 (shaft drive) or ta-05 (belt drive) chassis cars.

Good places to buy from:

US:Tower hobbies, horizon hobby, and Stormer.

UK:Fusion Hobbies.

Helpful RC forums:Tamiya Club, Ultimate RC.

Be prepared to spend at least about $200.
