If you are looking for great looking pictures, then both the Canons are upto the task......great cameras. Check out the site www.dpreview.com....They have complete details of almost all digicams with sample pictures as well...so it is a great help.

I think the Sony is better. It's got 13.6 Megapixels. That means the resolution is better. When you strech the photo it wont blur so badly. Hope it helps :) And a tip, the more megapixels the camera has, the better the photo will be.
