Want to buy a new digital camera, suggestion plz ?

I want to buy a digital camera. This is first for me. I m a little bit confused. Don't want to go for very high price. 7 mega pixel will do great. I need suggestion's about which one is good for me. Please suggest quickly.

olympus makes great cameras. I have an 8 megapixel from them and it is very compact and weatherproof and has a ton of settings. Its very easy to use and pretty affordable as far as digital cameras go.

Canon power shot A 550 is a good go.

I strongly recommend getting one that uses a lithium ion battery.  This is the only way to get decent battery life.
