  1. I hear that you can get bits and pieces of a 747 in Brussels this morning.

  2. I don't think you'll get a salvaged aircraft to restore for the following reasons.

1  Aircraft are such expensive items, typically £35,000 fo a twenty year old Cessna, if its been involved in an accident, the insurers would have looked at it very carefully and if it were possible to restore it, they would.

2 If an aircraft has been written off, there is no way the CAA would allow an amateur to restore it to flying condition.

3 Even if you had the necessary skills and facilities to do a restoration, the cost would be greater than the value of the aircraft.

4 The time taken for such a project, even with a small aircraft would probably run into several years, given the amount of work you can do and having all the necessary inspections done by qualified engineers.

I'm sorry if this pours cold water on your ideas but its not like restoring an old car in your garage, its far more complex.

  3. There is a small dismantled jet in a scrapyard i think in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, on Sheffield Road near Unstone. Obviously decomissioned but it could be a start if its still there. Hope this helps a bit.

  4. walmart, but they're made in china.

or target, you say GOODbuy, and i say HELLO!

hello, hello! dunno why you say goodbuy, and i keep saying hello hello!

go home already! and PLEASE, please pleasseeee take MITCH WITH YOU ALREADY!

  5. Sure, but I hope you have several million dollars to accomplish this.  Look up the boneyard at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona.  They have a website you can google, well as Marana Airpark, also near Tucson.  Good luck.
