Want to connect wood burner to a existing heating system?

want to use a wood burner to work along side a combi boiler to help save on gas how can the 2 be connected as ones a sealed system the other open vent etc any sites you can recomend

  1. WAY too little information!

    The simplest way, would be a separate radiator from

    the wood burning boiler to one or more  central locations,

    and just let the existing system 'read` and respond to the

    resultant temperatures.

    Otherwise you'd have to get into the control system of

    the 'Combi' to accommodate the contribution of the

    wood boiler and install a heat exchanger on your

    existing hydronic system.

    You'd be voiding any warantees on the system and

    be into uncharted territory on setpoints etc.
