Want to explore Marlborough Sounds for at least 4 weeks + on a 30' foot launch.?

Where can I drop anchor for the night and where not?Do I need to make a booking in advance to use marina's and how many are there?

probably unless u have millions in cash or if u are famous which i believe u aint those two kinds of people...book it in advanced

There is only one marina and that is in Havelock, they should generally have a visitors berth available but it is worth calling them first, either by Phone of VHF (ch16), if they dont answer the VHF call 'havelock marine radio' (ch16) and they will Phone for you. There are heaps of places to anchor...just take your pick...sorry, no pun intened.. ;=)
