There are very few Modern Apprentices in Joinery in Ayrshire.

There used to be a scheme at the Scottish Maritime Museum, but this fell by the wayside when, in 2001, in order to save money, the Museum made their Training Manager redundant. (Shortly after that, the loss of training revenue led to a collapse of the Museum financially!)

There is an organisation based in the old Irvine Royal Academy buildings near Turf Corner that specialises in finding apprenticeships in North Ayrshire - but, for the life of me, I just cannot remember their name!

You could enquire in the JobCentre in High Street or the Economic Development Department of North Ayrshire Council (Cunninghame House - between the station & the end of the shopping mall)
